News from 2003
CVC has completed another record year in 2003. Here is some of the news, awards and new equipment acquired for 2003.
ISO Registration
CVC has completed and renewed our ISO 9001:2000 registration this year. Our ISO 9002:1994 registration expired December 2003. The new 9001:2000 registration incorporates much more of the business functions as well as quality. Many of our customers are ISO registered and require their suppliers to be as well.
Awards
CVC recently received a Superior Vendor Award from Teleflex GFI. The award was presented to CVC at their supplier open house this fall.
Customer Appreciation
SMART Technologies Inc. wrote us a very complimentary letter this year following the completion of a new program launch. SMART Technologies Inc. is the industry pioneer and market leader in easy-to-use interactive whiteboards and other group collaboration tools. We thought that we would post this letter of appreciation to let our readers understand our commitment to our customers.

Mark, Roy and Jason,
Once again I take my hat off to you. Your commitment to this 2000i project from start to finish has proven to me and the rest of SMART that our decision to invest in CVC for another vacuum formed part was the right one. SMART provided the challenge and once again CVC took on the aggressive schedules and cost constraints to achieve our collective goals of manufacturing a cost-effective backcover for the 2000i product. This letter cannot go far enough to express the feeling that we all get when we know we did a good job. What more can I say, you guys are a pleasure to work with. The professional manner in which you conduct business and the "never say die" attitude gives us the confidence to continue to develop products with CVC. I look forward to our next job together.
On behalf of everyone here at SMART, specifically, Steve, Mike, Paul and myself, thanks and keep up the good work!
SMART Technologies Inc.

New Equipment
|
Another acquisition was a CNC router with a 5'x 10' cutting table. This router was purchased to accommodate our growing customer requirements for complex flat panels used in conjunction with vacuum formed components.
|
CVC has purchased new equipment to compliment and expand our vacuum form capabilities. We have acquired an oil heater to run materials such as Polycarbonate that require very high tool temperatures for clarity and distortion free parts. Tools heated with water can not establish enough heat to form some materials properly especially on clear products.
